Letter to the editor

On behalf of current and future Carter County High School students, I want to thank the community members who came out to vote in support of our school and its students. The confidence and support that was placed in the Board of Trustees and the administration during this past election will not be taken for granted. Every effort will be made to honor your vote by acting in good faith in doing our very best with taxpayer dollars in addressing the facility needs of CCHS.

One of the major deciding factors in my accepting the superintendent position here in Ekalaka is the support the community has for our students, staff, and administration. Please know that I/we fully realize that we would be unable to do what we do without the support of our community members. Going forward with construction and installation of our new heating plant, I encourage local contractors and businesses to bid on this project as keeping the resources in the community when possible is the right thing to do for those who have stood behind our school district.

Respectfully, Daniel Schrock

Ekalaka School District Superintendent
