Dear Editor,

I wanted to drop a note to let everyone know about some upcoming events being sponsored by Powder River/Carter County Farm Bureau.

On August 4th Jim Larson will be down to present a MT Ag Safety meeting for everyone’s work comp requirements. Jim has offered to buy breakfast at Powder River Lanes for the attendees at 8:30 a.m. and later that day at 1:30 he’s buying lunch at Little Jaded for those folks who attend there. Space will be limited so please RSVP to Darcia Patten at 406-853-0868 or Gary Heibertshausen at 567-224-9002.

We are once again bringing the Alive @ 25 driving program to Broadus during the fair. It’s a free four-hour program put on by Steve Downs of the MT Highway Patrol. The program has been revised from previous years according to officer Downs. It’s an interactive program that will save lives. If you know anyone 14-25 that is already driving or going to be driving this should be on their must do list. We’re working on getting the smart driver program on the schedule also for drivers 55 and over, but haven’t pinned it down yet.

Stop by our booth on Friday August 11th at the PR County Fair for some ATV safety and Farm Bureau updates.

Have a great and safe summer!
