FFA news

On April 30 and 31, the Carter County FFA Chapter made the trek to Big Timber, Montana to compete in the annual CDE Days competition. Kenzie Tooke, Heather LaBree, Hannah LaBree and Darin Schallenberger competed in the Food Science, Vet Science and Job Interview CDE’s. In Food Science, Heather placed 20th, Hannah placed 68th, Darin placed 70th and Kenzie rounded off the team with 75th place. For Vet Science, Heather took 24th, Hannah placed 82nd, Kenzie finished 123rd and Darin took home 145th. Then, on May 9, the chapter held its annual awards banquet in the CCHS Tuggle room.

The FCCLA chapter made some delicious pulled pork for supper, the year was reviewed in a slideshow and new officers were installed. The officer team will be gaining a new face this year, Gracie Tooke. Welcome to the family, Gracie! Newly elected 2018-2019 State Sentinel, Karli Blanchard from the Colstrip FFA, was there to offer some words of wisdom alongside the main keynote speaker, Amanda Williams. The FFA Chapter would like to thank everyone once again for donating their time and money to our organization. We couldn't do it without you! See you next year!
