    The Gumbo Gophers 4-H Club held their June meeting on the 11th at the Alzada Hall. Market sheep and goat weigh-ins were held before the meeting. Members set the date for lake day on July 21st at Orman Dam. They also set the date for the Fireman’s BBQ on August 2 at 6 p.m. at the Alzada Hall.     The Gumbo Gophers 4-H club had their April meeting at Sharon Higgins house on the 22nd. Sharon taught us to make tea rings. Members each made their own tea ring and gave a demonstration or talk on related topics as follows: Elizabeth-Making and kneading bread. Suri-Things to put on a tea ring. Grace-Sugars.     The Gumbo Gophers 4-H Club had a fun winter. We had a meeting in December at Alzada. We played a white elephant gift exchange game after our meeting, then we filled gift baskets and went caroling. All those involved had a good time. Grace brought wreath ornament kits for members to make. We discussed a ski trip. In January we had a meeting in Alzada.
