CLOSE OF VOTER REGISTRATION SCHOOL DISTRICT ELECTIONS Notice is hereby given that the regular registration for the Carter County Elementary School District Elections #1, #15, #56, Carter County High School District #1, #2, #3 and #79J to be held on May 2, 2023, will close at 5:00 PM on April 3, 2023. Persons who wish to register, and who are not presently registered, may do so by requesting a registration form by mail or by appearing before the County Election Administrator. If you have moved or changed your name, please update your registration. Inactive electors may reactivate by appearing at the County Election Office, at 214 Park Street to vote, by requesting an absentee ballot in any election, or by notifying the County Election Administrator in writing of the elector’s current residence in the County. All active and inactive electors of Carter County are entitled to vote in their respective districts on Election Day.
