The Carter County will be accepting applications for a permanent part time position working as an Assistant Weed Coordinator for the Carter County Weed Board. Part time hours (20 per week) will be extended through the off spray season, requiring this individual to work with the Weed Coordinator to provide educational programs to youth and adults, write grants, update the Noxious Weed Plan adding new infestations and mapping. The applicant must hold a valid Montana driver’s license, hold a current Montana Pesticide Government Applicator License in categories 10 - dealer and 55 – regulatory weed or obtain one before the start of the spray season in April 2019. The successful applicant will be assigned foreman duties doing field work from early May until November. Successful candidate will be actively engaged full time during the spray season. Carter County offers a competitive wage, and benefits with this position. Applications are available by contacting the Carter County Clerk and Recorder’s Office (406) 775-8749.
