On Tuesday night, votes for the recent school election were counted. Unofficial results show that Samantha Harris has been elected to fill a three year term as trustee for Ekalaka Elementary District #15 and High School District #3. Harris tallied 268 votes. Her opponent, Shay Beyer, had 123. Both levy propositions on the ballot also passed. Carter County High School track and field standout Tanner Fix recently signed with South Dakota School of Mines. Fix is primarily known for being a hurdler and has been to the Montana state track meet every year of his high school career. He has already qualified this year. We lived in numerous houses in Carter County and some out of it when I was growing up. Some of them, I do not remember so I will tell you about only the ones I do remember. Helena – The Montana Department of Revenue mailed 2017 livestock per capita fee bills. Payment is due by May 31. Livestock owners can pay online at ReportYourLivestock.mt.gov or by mail with a check.
