Over 75 members attended the Dahl Memorial Healthcare Annual Member Meeting last Thursday at Carter County Events Center. Around 90 attended in 2017 while only 45 turned out in 2016. The Faithweavers youth program at St. Elizabeth Lutheran Church will be starting on Wednesday, October 3 this year. All children from age 4 through 6th grade are welcome. The 56th Annual Western 4-H Family and Consumer Science Show will be held October 12 and 13 at the Central States Fairgrounds in Rapid City, South Dakota. CCHS Volleyball defeated the Broadus Hawks in three straight sets on Saturday, 25-21, 25-18 and 25-15. As a team, the Bulldogs had 40 kills, 33 digs, 30 assists, 15 aces and 4 blocks. Tori Tooke led in assists with 15 and aces with 7, Claire Callahan led in kills with 14 and blocks with 3, and Heather LaBree led in digs with 9. The Bulldog defense couldn't get any stops in the first quarter at Savage last Friday night. Savage seemingly moved the ball at will and had a 32-6 heading into the second.
