    As of Tuesday, November 3, Montana reports a cumulative total of 35,159 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 909 new cases since yesterday, 12,770 active cases, and 21,990 people considered recovered. State officials also report that 1,384 of the cases have resulted in hospitalizations, with 389 patients currently hospitalized.     The Carter County Bulldogs ended their football season in the first round of the playoffs at Park City last Saturday. Bulldog miscues on offense cost them in the first half. Twice receivers ran in the Panthers' secondary open but passes didn't connect.     Lois Lambert, age 69, of Ekalaka, died October 27, 2020, at Dahl Memorial Nursing Home after a long and courageous battle with a variety of chronic illnesses with her husband and daughter at her side.     Earlier this year, Carter County Museum called on community members to send in quilt block designs that would be used to create a community quilt.   • Unofficial general election results

    A whopping ninety-four percent of the 926 registered voters in Carter County cast ballots in the 2020 Federal General Election. That number is up substantially from a 78 percent voter turnout in 2018 and 84 percent in 2016. Precinct 3, which includes Hammond and Boyes, had the best percentage at 97.6.
