Carter County Chamber of Commerce Fourth of July Bash

 

Carter County Chamber of Commerce sponsored a fireworks display in Ekalaka on July 4. The chamber received nearly $3,000 in donations for the show and Ekalaka Volunteer Fire Department lit the fireworks from the rodeo grounds.

For the second year in a row, Carter County Chamber of Commerce sponsored a Fourth of July Bash on Main Street in Ekalaka.

Chamber members encouraged local businesses and residents to set up booths and carnival games for kids and adults alike. Food, drinks, and snow cones were also available for residents who partook in the day's events.

One highlight of the afternoon was undoubtedly when Sheriff Neil Kittelmann splashed into the dunk tank.

Chamber officials are hoping to make the event larger next year, and a few who attended mentioned that they hope the "Bash" could someday be reminiscen...
