Hammond School renovations

The Hammond school is getting a much-needed larger entryway thanks to the help of several volunteers. As the volunteers tore off the old entry, they found initials of former students carved into the walls, along with some hearts and words that aren't suitable for grade school. Chad and Troy Harrington even found their father's initials.

The building used to sit about a mile to the northwest, but was moved when the highway changed course some 60 years ago. It will be brimming with children and grandchildren of many former students again this fall!
