Dogs show much improved defense

Last Friday night at Rowely Field, CCHS football took on Savage. The Bulldogs played a strong game on the defensive side of the ball, holding Savage to 13 points in the first half. In the second quarter, freshman quarterback Jared Pardee threw a 22 yard touchdown pass to sophomore Max Larson. The Dawgs were down 13-6 at halftime.

Although junior Caleb Fix was able to squeeze off a few five yard gains, the biggest problem for CCHS in this game was consistently moving the ball. Savage was held scoreless in the third quarter which kept the game close. With the Dogs’ inability to control the ball,...
