Dogs open season

Last weekend, Carter County High School basketball teams traveled to Lavina to play in a tournament. In their first game of the tournament—and the season—the Bulldog men took on a more experienced Westby-Grenora team. Although CCHS had six turnovers in the first quarter, compared to only one for the Thunder, they were down only one point at the end of the period.

In the second quarter, Blue made only two field goals and the team was held to only six points. The Thunder put up 19, 12 of which came from beyond the three-point arc. After that, CCHS had trouble catching up. They finished the game...
