Make a SNAP appointment, March 13

Betty Vail will be in Ekalaka on March 13 to sign individuals up for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

SNAP is a federal nutrition program that helps individuals stretch their food budget and buy healthy food. SNAP benefits are given each month on a plastic, electronic benefits transfer (EBT) card. The EBT card works like a debit card.

An individual’s income, medical bills, and utility bills are some of the things that are taken into consideration to see if they qualify to receive a prepaid card for food.

Call 775-8751 to make an appointment with Vail at Carter County Courthouse on March 13.
