Blood drive numbers down again

 


The Ekalaka community blood drive held last week was slow. The goal for units produced has not been met the last few times a drive has been held in Ekalaka. In total, seventeen units of blood were produced by 15 donors who attended. There was one deferral. Of the 15 donors, eight were walk-ins while seven had appointments.

Two door prizes were given. Betty Carroll won a $25 gift certificate to Wagon Wheel Cafe and Barb Elmore won a tee-shirt.

Organizers encourage everyone to donate at the next drive, scheduled for May 22 at Carter County Events Center.
