Local blood drive draws supporters

Thirty-seven units were donated by 24 individuals at the local blood drive last week. Blood drive organizer Darlene Carter-Rose said 37 units is the largest seen in quite some time.

Stewart Cook won a gift certificate to Dawg House Pub as a door prize, and first time givers received a T-shirt for their donation. Carter-Rose handed out seven shirts last week and has several more ready for the next Ekalaka Community Blood Drive on July 24 at the Carter County Events Center.
