Anna M. Rehbein, age 85, passed away on Sunday, June, 24, 2018 at The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center in Gillette, Wyoming. Anna Mary (Heiser) Rehbein was born on January 16, 1933 in Belfield, North Dakota. She was the oldest of five daughters born to Joe and Baida Heiser.

Anna attended school in Savage, Enid and Lambert, Montana. She met the love of her life, Fritz Rehbein, when she was 16 years old. However, the first time Fritz saw Anna she was 14, and he knew then that she was the girl he was going to marry. They married on February 18, 1950 when she was a 17-year-old senior in high school. She graduated from Lambert High School in May of 1950. They had their first son, Kurt, and were blessed with seven more children, Kent, Kitty, Karen, Kim, Kevin, Kristie and Kyle.

They farmed, ranched and raised their children, plus many others in the Lambert, MT area. In 1973, they left Lambert and moved to Ekalaka. Anna worked at Dahl Memorial Healthcare as a cook. She spent much of her time driving kids to sporting events, rodeo being a favorite. They left Ekalaka in 1977 and moved to Gillette, Wyoming. Fritz worked at Farmer's Co-op, and Anna worked at the Holiday Inn as a cook and also at the Co-op Self-Serve Station. Everyone loved her.

Anna loved to dance. She won the jitterbug contest her junior year in high school. Many knew how she loved her tea pots. She was the world's best cook. She loved going to garage sales, bingo, playing cards and auctions. She also loved babies and babies feet; she would just eat them up they were so cute. Her giggle would light up a room.

The big family get together was always Easter. She cooked a great dinner and it was just a fun day. Everyone was very blessed to have such a beautiful and wonderful person in their lives; she made all of her kids better and stronger people. Anna was a devoted Catholic with a strong faith. She prayed the rosary daily; she would say, "Always pray, makes the world a much better place and makes us all good people." Her door was always open with a big hug. She will be greatly missed but we all know she is in paradise with her loving Lord.

Anna is survived by her loving husband, Fritz Rehbein of 68 years; sons, Kurt of Gillette, WY, Kent of Sidney, MT, Kim (Sandy) of Sidney, MT, and Kevin (Shelley) of Pine Haven, WY; daughters, Kitty (Bill) Blankenship of Glendive, MT, Karen (Tom) Carroll of Ekalaka, MT, and Kristie (Gary) Albers of Gillette, WY; daughter-in-law, Debra Rehbein of Gillette, WY; sisters, Marcy, JoAnn, Sue, and Sharon; aunt, Monica Zoannie, 23 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
