The local blood drive held last week saw another increase in numbers, producing an impressive twenty-nine units of blood. All 12 donors who made appointments turned out and another 12 walk-ins came through the door. Seven double units were collected.

Marilyn Schultz won a gift card to Rambling Rose as a door prize. Four new donors also received tee-shirts. The goal for the drive was achieved. The next blood drive in Ekalaka has been scheduled for September 18 at Carter County Events Center.
