Miss Montana 2018, Laura Haller, spoke to students in Plevna and Ekalaka on Tuesday, promoting "Own Your Movement" as part of her Crown to Classroom Tour.

Laura Haller graduated from Boise State University and aspires to be a physician for women's health. She has spent the last year as a professional dancer for Viking Ocean Cruises where she had the opportunity to dance and travel to over 30 counties and five continents. She competed for the first time and won the title of Miss Montana and at Miss America won both a talent and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) scholarship.

Using narrative and lessons she learned as a professional dancer, pre-medical student, marathon runner, triathlete, business owner and world traveler, Haller spoke to the students about getting up and moving so that they have the abilities to follow their passions in life.

Haller has over $15,000 in scholarships to further her medical education. The Miss Montana Scholarship Program is June 20-22, 2019 in Glendive.
