Carter County Band and Choir, under the direction of Mr. Andrew Del Raso and accompanied by Mrs. Cathy Frye, competed at district music festival in Miles City last Friday. Both did well, with choir receiving a 'II' and band receiving a 'I' (superior). On Saturday, Katy Bishop, Amaya Coleman and Ella Owen sang a vocal trio accompanied by Mrs. Cathy Frye. The group received a II. Jaelee Strangford, also accompanied by Mrs. Cathy Frye, played a solo on her tenor sax. Strangford earned a superior rating and punched her ticket to compete at the state music festival in Billings on May 3 - 4.
