Carter County Chamber of Commerce is holding a drawing contest for local elementary students to design the face of next year's chamber bucks.

Carter County residents are reminded to support the local community by purchasing and spending Carter County Chamber of Commerce chamber bucks.

Chamber bucks are a great way to support buying locally and supporting local businesses here in Ekalaka and Carter County. Each dollar spent stays in the local community.

Chamber Bucks are purchased in $10 increments and can be used at any participating Carter County Chamber of Commerce business (participating businesses are located on the back of the bucks). They are used just like cash and can be used to pay for any products or services customers would like to purchase.

Bucks can be purchased anytime throughout the year at Community 1st Federal Credit Union and may be used anytime of the year. They make great gifts for those who are hard to shop for, as well as for graduating students. Gift them for birthdays, weddings, Mother's/Father's Day, Christmas or other holidays. Remember, a gift of chamber bucks keeps giving back to the community even after it is spent.

Chamber bucks do have an expiration date. If they won't be used before they expire, contact the chamber and exchange them for new ones. The chamber will also gladly exchange bucks that have already expired.

A coloring/drawing contest will be held to design the new face for next year's chamber bucks. It is open to children in grades K-6. A winner will be chosen from K-3 grades and another will be chosen from 4-6 grades. Each winner will receive a prize of $25 in chamber bucks. Entry forms will be given out to students at Ekalaka Elementary and to surrounding country schools. They can also be obtained by messaging Carter County Chamber of Commerce on Facebook.
