Justin Stieg (right) took first place in the stock division at Saturday's bump-n-run while his father, Doug Stieg (middle) took second and his sister, Jennifer Waterland (left) took third. Justin also took first in the modified division.

Fourteen super stock cars, three pickups and five modified cars raced at Ekalaka's bump-n-run at the airport on Saturday. A cool, rainy day resulted in a muddy track that needed no extra water on it to keep the dust down.

The day featured two heats of super stock and one of modified, followed by the main races. The three pickups that raced did so in the stock heats.

After winning his super stock and modified heats, Local Justin Stieg went on to win both main races.

Organizers deemed the event another success and thanked their sponsors, racers, help, and crowd. "If it wasn't for them," Jennifer Waterland wrote to the Eagle, "none of this would have been possible."
