Ekalaka Volunteer Fire Department members held the drawing for their annual gun raffle fundraiser this week.

Stephanie Carroll of Ekalaka was the lucky grand prize winner this year. Carroll won a Howa 7mm-08 rifle.

Local Karen Hammel won Leupold binoculars as the second place prize.

The third place prize this year, a wildlife print, was won by Lester Phillippi of Hammond.

Fire department members were very pleased with the number of tickets sold this year and are looking forward to next year. They were especially thankful to those who bought tickets and to Dawg House Pub for selling tickets.

Proceeds from the raffle will help in the department’s effort to get a new building in Ekalaka.
