2019 goes down as 3rd wettest year on record for Ekalaka

According to National Weather Service data, Ekalaka received 25.41 inches of precipitation in 2019. That amount is the third most ever recorded in a calendar year, and over 10 inches above normal.

A drier than average December in which only 0.28 inches were recorded helped to keep the area from breaking the 1971 record of 26.95 inches. In 2011, 25.90 inches were recorded.
