The Ekalaka Eagle - Your Community Builder

The Gumbo Gophers 4-H club held their 5th meeting on February 14th at the Alzada Hall. Members present were: Keenan McInerney, Zander Oliver, Colin and Clancy Higgins, Grady and Lily Tauck, Breanna Ulmer, Joby and Rayna Owens, Grace and Elizabeth Hall and Tylinn Thomas.

Leaders present were: Terri Raye McInerney, Crystal Higgins, Julie Ridinger and Thebea Thomas. Guests present were: Mckinzi Oliver; Andrew, Staci, and Daniel Hall; Tessa and Jess Tauck; John Ridinger, Noralla Thomas, Amanda Owens and Rona Butikofer.

The meeting was called to order by president Colin Higgins. The American pledge was led by Grady Tauck and Joby Owens led the 4-H pledge. Roll call was answered by naming the coolest thing you have done this winter. Keenan McInerney gave the treasurer's report.

Club members discussed the duties everyone would have during the chili supper/silent auction. They also discussed cleaning the road ditches by Alzada.

The next meeting will be held at Higgins’ in March.
