Candidate filing for the Town of Ekalaka Municipal Election opens April 22 and closes June 21. Interested individuals may file a Declaration for Nomination for one of the open positions at the Carter County Clerk and Recorder’s Office, 214 Park Street in Ekalaka.
Only active registered voters who reside within the Town of Ekalaka are eligible to file.
Three council seats are up for election in the upcoming election. Open will be one, 4-year term and two, 2-year terms. Also open will be the 4-year term for mayor.
Anyone interested in filing for any of the three positions may do so by requesting the paperwork from the Ekalaka Town Office.
