Sixth grade teacher shares worldly experiences with Ekalaka students

Montana native Andrea Larned is in her first year teaching at Ekalaka Elementary after spending much of her career teaching around the globe.

Mrs. Andrea Larned is technically from Montana, but one could argue that she's from all over the globe.

The new sixth grade teacher at Ekalaka Public Schools graduated high school from Laurel before attending Montana State University where she obtained degrees in K-12 physical education as well as elementary education.

"I've been teaching for a long time," she told the Eagle on Tuesday.

Throughout her career, Larned says she has taught all over. Most recently, she taught for three years in Istanbul. While there, she also took classes at the River Bible Institute.
