Lady Bulldogs win on Senior Night

Last Thursday CCHS Volleyball fell to Jordan in four sets, 16-25, 21-25, 28-26 and 17-25. As a team, the Lady Bulldogs had 9 aces, 36 kills, 4 blocks, 43 digs and 31 assists in the match. Greta Barrett led in aces with 5. Heidi LaBree had 12 kills and Katie Tooke had 3 of the team's 4 blocks. Zoie Rost led in digs with 9 and Carly Aho led in assists with 21. Lacey and Lindsay Lawrence led the way for the Mustangs. Lacey had 33 of the team's 34 assists while Lindsay had 12 of 34 kills and 20 of 77 digs.

CCHS won a close match against Terry on Saturday for senior night. The match came down to two points in the final set with Blue the victor, 16-14. The Lady Bulldogs won the first set 25-23, lost the second 23-25, won the third 25-22 and lost the fourth 14-25. Codi Melton had a good match serving the ball and led the team in aces (5 of 16). Carly Aho again had a team high in assists (14 of 30). Zoie Rost had 11 of 39 digs. Heidi LaBree had 8 of 33 kills and tied for a team high in blocks (2) with Katie Tooke.


On Tuesday night in their home finale, the Bulldogs lost a match versus Baker's junior varsity squad. CCHS lost in four sets (23-25, 23-25, 25-14, 28-30). Each of the first two sets were lost on service errors. LaBree had a team-high in kills (10) and blocks (2) in the match. Zoie Rost led in aces (6 of 17) and digs (13 of 42). Lady Bulldog setter Aho finished the match with 20 assists.

This weekend CCHS will travel to Circle and Jordan to wrap up their regular season. The district volleyball tournament is scheduled to take place next weekend, October 28-30 in Glendive.
