Four years ago in January, I embarked on the journey of a lifetime. Being mayor of Ekalaka taught me a few things. Of course, the number one thing is that you cannot do a job like that without the amazing support of your clerk, employees and council. Let’s face it, they are the glue. They were hired to do a job. They are elected because people in the community have faith that they will act on their behalf and do what is best for the Town of Ekalaka. I trust them.

I learned that there is no way to please every single person. It is clearly impossible. You must do what you feel is best for...
