After discussions about seemingly perennial fire concerns and the core mission of the organization, the Carter County Chamber of Commerce voted at its December 2021 meeting to discontinue its practice of facilitating fireworks displays. The Chamber will continue to support and organize those activities which follow its mission to “develop, aid, encourage and promote projects for the entire county in order to expand business and industry for the entire area.”
