Southeast Electric annual meeting scheduled for June 10

Members of Southeast Electric are encouraged to attend the cooperative's upcoming annual meeting. The meeting will be held on Friday, June 10 at the Southeast Electric large truck shop in Ekalaka.

Registration starts at 4 p.m. A free roast beef dinner and entertainment by Jerilyn Wiseman and Ty Taylor with Mendenhall Crossing will begin at 5 p.m. The business meeting will start at 6 p.m. General Manager Tye Williams will update members on cooperative activities and Board Chairman Albert Paul will call for any questions from members in attendance.

Directors from Districts 2 and 8, positions currently held by Doug Gardner and Dave Hayden, will be elected to serve on the board for a period of three years. Further nominations may be made by petition of fifteen or more members, acting together, not less than fifteen days prior to the annual meeting.

Nominations by petition, received at least five days before the meeting shall be included on the official ballot. Later nominations received by petition shall be treated as nominations from the floor. The chairman will also call for nominations from the floor for a period of one minute during the time for nominations. No member may nominate more than one candidate.

Dave Hayden will have his team of horses available for rides and the cooperative hopes to have the bounce house again for children to enjoy. Attendees will be entered to win several door prizes and attendance prizes will be given. There will be two $500 grand prizes and free tickets to the Medora Musical.

This meeting provides an opportunity for members to make a difference in the cooperative. Please plan to attend. All members attending the meeting are asked to bring the registration materials they will soon receive in the mail. This includes a registration card and sometimes a voting credential form for organizations and ranch corporations. These documents allow members to vote and be part of the door prize drawings.

Capitol credit checks will also be mailed with annual meeting notices, so don't throw the notice away!
