You know Lord, it’s fun to think that June 8th is called Best Friends Day as well as the 8th having several other names, but it is also fun to think about special things that happen that help us recognize that it is headed toward Summer Time. How about a look-to list called Day Brighteners?

Full gas tank…

Friends at library…

Red apples in bowl…

Grapes on special sale…

Cool glass of water…

Warm winds gentle blow…

Daisies show up in flower beds…

Tulips in bloom…

Green grass grows abundantly…

Lawn care guy does a great job mowing…

Daffodils color grocery store…”

It feels like and even smells like Springtime today, even IF the date that Spring arrived was a few weeks ago! Oh, Lord, what a lovely Season You have created for us.

From Your Holy Word we can read selected verses from Psalm 47. “Oh, clap your hands, all you people! Shout to God with the voice of triumph! For the Lord Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth…. Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! For God is the King of all the earth’ sing praises with understanding. God reigns over the nations; God sits on His holy throne…He is greatly exalted.”

Thank You, Lord, for the lovely seasons that You have created for us. These Seasons help us to be fully equipped to do all the things You wish for us to do for You, including helping others meet their needs, as we bless them, too; we thank You so very much. Thank You, Lord, for a beautiful day today, and a good forecast for this week.
