December 9, 2022

A community Christmas tree lighting took place in Ekalaka on Sunday. The now annual event was started a few years ago by a group of local community members. The tree was sourced locally and will stay on the main street triangle throughout the remainder of the holiday season.

As of December 6th, Ekalaka had received 17.68 inches of precipitation for the calendar year. Yearly snowfall, which runs from July 1st through June 30th, was at 24.7 inches for the year; 14.4 inches of that total fell throughout the month of November.
