Board leadership training, June 5th in Ekalaka

In conjunction with Montana State University Extension, Carter County Commissioners are sponsoring a board leadership training for all members of local boards. The training, slated for June 5th, is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. at Carter County Event Center.

Topics at the training include principles of good governance, roles and responsibilities of board members/trustees, open meeting laws, citizens right to participate laws, closing a meeting, board member liability, effective meetings, agendas and managing public comment, Montana’s code of ethics, and proper meeting minutes.
