County commissioners served as parade marshals at the 2017 Days of '85 Parade. Above, former county employee Fats Jardee and current commissioner Jim Courtney ride on a century-old grader that is being pulled by a brand new one driven by current employee Carl Knapp.
Judges had a difficult time picking winners upon conclusion of the 2017 Days of '85 Parade due to a large number of entries. The parade was one of the finest-and largest-of recent memory. County commissioners were this year's parade marshals, helping to commemorate 100 years of Carter County. Following is a full list of parade winners:
