Tuesday's high temp an Ekalaka record

October 1, 2021

Tuesday’s high temperature of 96 degrees is the hottest ever recorded in Ekalaka on September 28. In fact, it’s the highest the mercury has ever reached this late in the year.

The all-time September high came early in the month, on September 5, 1978 when it reached 103 degrees.

Temperatures are expected to cool off for the rest of the week and gradually warm throughout the weekend, eventually reaching back into the low to mid 80s early next week.

As of Wednesday morning, Ekalaka had received 9.32 inches of precipitation in 2021.
