It’s May

Hello God, it’s me, Mara:

April showers bring May flowers, a bit of snow helps too. There’s Daffodils and red Tulips and some Flax turning Blue. Shy violets hide ‘neath dewy grass, ‘resting’ at “Violet Springs.” Birds atwitter, feeding, nesting. “MAY’S Spring Time!” my heart sings. We’ll start this month with fragrant crabs, or May Pole Dance will do. Say! Mickey Mouse was born this month and Frank Sinatra, too!

We smell rain storm – taste a rain drop, rebirth still in the air. We watch the rain, then hear thunder – this scene’s beyond compare. Prairie’s blooming, calves go racing, new ducklings swim the dams; gorgeous goslings, those babies grow, as do frolicking wee lambs. A bride so fair in month of May when prairies are full bloom. What flowers poised in her bouquet? Which flower wore the groom?

The shyness found in early May gives way to birds and breeze. As wild Crabs bloom, the air perfumes, wind gusts blue flax with ease. Hear Robins sing “Cheer-up! Cheer-up!” with thrust of scarlet breast? Or do they call: “Goody! Goody!” ere dark calls them to rest? Oh, we could lie on God’s green earth and hear all Spring-things grow, or feel the touch of dew on lips as breezes gently blow.

The wild crabs blush, sprawl ‘gainst the blue; the flowers, incense sweet; distilled honey like Heathered[1] cliffs, and fields of greening wheat. Soon rain will cease; once more we’ll see a vault of crystal blue. Spring’s here to stay this lovely day, God’s mercies blessing you.

Spring is the glory of the Lord[2], Glory endures forever… and when He calls us home to Him, with Him we’ll live-forever.

Love Mara
