Sports seasons starting

Carter County High School fall sports start this Friday, August 12th.

The first football practice will be at 7 a.m. on Friday morning. Players should bring shorts and running shoes to the school and be prepared to run. Tenadore Kittelmann is again head coach this year and Eric Lovec is assistant. The first football game is scheduled for Friday, August 26th versus Broadus. Kickoff is 7 p.m. at Rowley Field.

The first volleyball practice will be at 8 a.m. on Friday. Glen Frye, a 2017 CCHS graduate, is this year's head coach. This will be Frye's first year at the helm of the squad, although he has put on the Summit Volleyball Camp over the last few summers in Ekalaka. The volleyball team is scheduled to begin their season at a tournament in Fairview on Saturday, August 27th.

Activity fees to participate in sports at Ekalaka Public Schools this year will be $60 per student for the school year. Adult passes to attend all sporting events are available for $85 and family passes are available for $200. Scholarships are also available for student activity fees.
