Ashland man dies following bronc ride

A 19-year-old Ashland man died early Monday morning in a one-vehicle rollover crash near Broadus, according to the Montana Highway Patrol. The man had previously competed in the match bronc ride at Ekalaka held Sunday afternoon.

A 20-year-old area resident was a passenger in the vehicle. He was injured in the crash and taken to a hospital in Rapid City, South Dakota.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the driver was traveling west along Highway 212 at 3:27 a.m. in a Ford F250. The truck at some point drifted off the right side of the roadway, then immediately veered back onto the pavemen...
