Record low recorded here last week

Locals enjoying their Fourth of July holiday evening last week likely noticed cooler than normal temperatures. In fact, a record low was recorded the following morning on July 5th, when the mercury dipped to 38 degrees in Ekalaka.

Ekalaka’s record high for July 5th of 108 degrees occurred in 1936. Normal high and low temps for the date are 83 degrees and 55 degrees, respectively.
