David John Hall was born March 11, 1952 in Baker, MT, the son of Rushmore and Eulita (Ehrmantraut) Hall. He grew up and attended Wyrick country school near the family ranch. He later graduated from Baker High School.

On July 14, 1973, Dave and Lori Nelson were united in marriage in Baker. To this union, three children were born: Davin, Courtney and Lacey. He began working with his father and brothers on the Hall Ranch north of Baker. Along with ranching, Dave worked for various contractors in the oilfield prior to joining the Fallon County Road Crew. In 1992, the family moved into Baker and have made their home there ever since. After 27 years of service with Fallon County, Dave retired in 2017.

Dave enjoyed guns, reloading ammunition, and shooting at various competitions throughout the area; including the Big Hill and Medicine Rocks Shoots. He enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and hunting deer and coyotes. Family was important to Dave and he especially loved being with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed visiting and joking with anyone he came across. Dave was loving retirement, especially his new love of "Judge Judy" and making his wife breakfast in bed.

Dave is survived by his wife, Lori Hall of Baker; sons, Davin Hall of Ekalaka, and Courtney (Aimee) Hall of Columbus; daughter, Lacey (Zane) Selle of Billings; brothers, Jack (Lori) Hall of Billings, and Howard (May Lynn) Hall of Baker; sisters, Kay (DuWayne) Neether of Gillette, WY, and Nona Moser of Green River, WY; grandchildren, Kaylah (fiancé, Adam), Jordan, Kendall, Bailey, Colter, and Reece .; and various nieces and nephews.
