Donate to veterans

The Carter County 4-H Ambassador team is calling on all community members to help donate to veterans. The ambassadors will place boxes around town at the following businesses and locations: Branson’s Grocery, The Guest House, Dawg House Pub, A & A Stieg Wholesale, the USDA building, Fruit Service and Repair, Carter County Courthouse and Wagon Wheel Café. The team is asking that individuals donate only the items listed below:

• Granola bars

• Chapstick

• Lotion

• Kleenex

• Individual packets of coffee

• Individual size trail mix

• Individual size jerky

• Gum

• Decks of cards

• Hand/foot warmers

The ambassador team will also be accepting monetary donations if these products are not on hand and will then use the monetary donations to purchase the items listed. At the end of next week, items will be collected and taken to 4-H Congress in July. The collection will last from May 13-17.
