Pet paraders: Heads up, get a move on

The 2019 pet parade is scheduled for noon on Friday, August 9 at the bleacher area of Carter County Fairgrounds.
Sign-up for entries will take place from 11 a.m. until noon.
The two decorating categories this year are:
1. Animals from nursery rhymes, songs, books, etc. (take your choice and go from there).
2. Chores I love (or hate) around the house or outdoors. Examples include: milking the cow, saddling the horse, slopping the hogs, scooping manure from corral or barn/outdoors, mowing the lawn, weeding the garden, dishwashing or drying, sweeping, mopping floors, dusting the furniture and...
