July 4th fireworks display is a go

Carter County Chamber of Commerce’s annual Independence Day fireworks display is a go this year. Volunteer fire department members will be lighting off the display from the track and arena after dusk on July 4.

In an effort to make donating easier, an account has been set up at Community 1st Federal Credit Union for monetary contributions to this year’s display.

The chamber will not be holding any sort of festival or playing games on Main Street on July 4 due to coronavirus, but members look forward to the display and encourage all residents to watch.
