COVID-19 guidelines at Dahl

As of Tuesday, June 30, Montana reports a total of 967 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 49 new cases since yesterday, 303 active cases, and 22 deaths from the disease. State officials also report that 101 of the cases have resulted in hospitalizations, with 12 patients currently hospitalized, and 642 patients considered recovered.

Dahl Memorial continues to value the safety of all residents, patients and staff during the difficult time of the COVID-19 pandemic. With all of the changes in guidelines throughout the state and surrounding communities we wanted to remind Carter County of the guidelines Dahl is enforcing to ensure the quality and safety of all community members.

Clinic patients: The clinic is up and running! You are welcome to see your provider for any healthcare visits. When you call to make your appointment at 406-775-8738, you will be asked a few COVID-19 screening questions. If there is concern that you may have or have been in contact with COVID-19, you will be directed to the next course of action at that point. If you do not have symptoms and are at your appointment, we ask that you remain in your vehicle. We will come outside to you. You will be asked COVID-19 screening questions again and we will take your temperature and ensure that you have a mask. Then, we will walk you into the facility. We are taking all safety precautions recommended by Medicare and The CDC.

Emergency room: Our Emergency room is open 24/7. If you present to the Emergency room doors and attempt to open the door an alarm will sound at the nurses station. If an associate does not meet you at the door, there is signage at that door to direct you to call the facility at 406-775-8730. You will be masked, have your temperature taken and asked screening questions outside the ER door. Then you will be led inside the doors and directed to the appropriate ER room. One person may accompany the patient if needed, however if the patient can present on their own, that is preferred.

Lab/X-ray: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. We encourage you to call 406-775-8730 and ask for the lab to make an appointment. You will be asked a few COVID-19 screening questions. If there is concern that you may have or been in contact with COVID-19, you will be directed to the next course of action at that point. If you do not have symptoms and present to your appointment we will ask that you remain in your vehicle. We will come out to you. You will be asked COVID-19 screening questions again, we will take your temperature and ensure that you have a mask. Then, we will walk you into the facility. We are taking all safety precautions recommended by Medicare and The CDC.

Residential Living/Hospital patients: Visitors will be welcome, but please call to make arrangements at 406-775-8730 and ask to speak with Vicky Knapp or the business office staff for a visit arrangement. Visitors will be required to practice social distancing while at Dahl and wear a mask. Social distancing means individuals in one household must remain six feet from individuals in another household and/or the resident/patient. We are willing to consider photos with residents, but expect each individual to be socially responsible and consider the health of all involved. Taking pictures with a resident will only be considered if the individual has quarantined (staying inside their household; no outside travel or visitors) for 14 days prior to the visit. Again, this means everyone in the household, including individuals coming/going for dinner, visits, etc., needs to quarantine for 14 days prior to the visit.

Pharmacy: Monday-Wednesday and Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Present to the pharmacy window on the back patio w/your mask on or call us at 406-775-8896 and we will come out to you. If a resident is outside, please feel free to say hello but remember to practice social distancing and remain six feet apart.

In short:

• Call before present for ANY reason at 406-775-8730

• Stay in your vehicle when you get here, we will come to you

• Wear a mask

• STAY SAFE!
