Fair planning continues

 


Plans for the Days of ‘85 are continuing as the event draws nearer. The annual fair and rodeo is slated for August 12th through August 15th this year.

On Thursday, sheep dog trials will be taking place at Ekalaka Track and Arena.

On Friday at noon the pet parade will begin at the fairgrounds. The Firemen’s Barbecue will take place at the fire hall from 4 to 7 p.m., and entertainment has been scheduled for 7:30 p.m. A kid’s dance and games will take place at the fairgrounds, beginning at 8:30 p.m.

The Bump-N-Run is scheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m. The day will be busy with the market sale at 3 p.m., the stick horse rodeo at 4 p.m. and the rodeo at 5 p.m. Indian tacos will be served at St. Elizabeth Lutheran Church from 4 to 7 p.m. and the Days of ‘85 Gospel Sing will start at 8 p.m. outside of First Baptist Church.

The parade and a car show are scheduled for Sunday morning in addition to the annual rodeo at 2 p.m.


Carter County Museum will be open each day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The museum warehouse will also be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. displaying exhibits.
