Good time to apply for apprentice program

Montana’s two-day, youth-only deer hunt is coming up October 21 and 22, and general deer season opens October 23. Now is a good time to consider signing up for the Apprentice Hunter program.

The Apprentice Hunter law allows people ages 10 and older to hunt as apprentices with a mentor for two seasons without completing a Hunter Education course.
