Carter County Public Health Corner

submitted by Carter County Public Health

We have partnered again with Smiles Across Montana to make a return visit to our community in the later part of May. This is a dental care opportunity for parents of students in Ekalaka Public School districts (K-12). Keep an eye out for more information and by visiting our Facebook page - CarterCountyPublicHealth.

Smiles Across Montana (SAM) mission is to improve the oral health outcomes of Montanans and believe that everyone deserves access to equitable preventive services. SAM has a committed team of registered Dental Hygienists and Dentists from across the state. For more information check out their website https://www.smilesacrossmontana.com. Smiles Across Montana can provide dental care including exams, cleanings, sealants, fluoride treatments, oral health demo, x-rays necessary and prescribed by a dentist. Don’t let the concern of any costs deter you as there are options outlined in the information to come for both insured and uninsured students.

COVID-19 vaccine and home test kits | We will have an adult vaccine clinic day by appointment on April 19 and May 19. Reserve your spot or ask questions by calling our office at 406-775-6332. If we miss your call, we are likely on another line or helping another resident. Please leave a message and we will get back in touch. Public health also has a supply of free COVID-19 at home test kits available to residents. These are easy to use and provide quick results in 15-30 minutes. The kits are available on a limited, first-come, first-served basis.

Is your child in need of vaccinations to get ready for next school year? Save the date, July 22, as we will be welcoming back the CareVan to Carter County! More information and details will be coming in the near future.

Carter County Public Health is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
