State FFA convention

The Carter County FFA chapter traveled to Billings April 2nd-6th to compete in various career development events and leadership development events over the course of the week. The teams did very well while competing. Some of the competitions that teams competed included meat evaluation, food science, vet science, agronomy, parliamentary procedure, livestock judging and also agricultural mechanics. The CCHS livestock team placed 9th in the state.

Chapter members also attended workshops that were put on by the state officer team. Several students were able to assist in the Day of Service activities, which is a time that students are able to help out the Billings community by donating their time at the food bank and at St. Vincent Regional Hospital. Overall the Carter County FFA had a great week in Billings for the 94th Montana State FFA Convention.
