Montana Range Days nearing

The 48th annual Montana Range Days returns to Miles City June 24-26th, 2024. At Montana Range Days, youth and adults of all ages gather for three days to celebrate and learn more about rangelands, including plant identification, soils, ecology, rangeland inventory, and management tools and techniques. Tours of local operations showcase natural resource management, including the Knowlton fire/fuels projects and a tour of the ARS Livestock and Range Research Laboratory, Fort Keogh. Contests allow participants to test their knowledge and earn prizes and other awards including scholarships.

The main event will be held at the Custer County Event Center at the Eastern Montana Fairgrounds. Registration is $50 per participant (five meals included) and $100 family group (up to four people, five meals included for each participant); conservation districts may be able to help with registration costs. Tour costs vary. For more details and to register please visit http://www.montanarangedays.org or http://www.facebook.com/montanarangedays.
